DC Rajouri inspects progress of work on key development projects

RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 04: In a commendable display of commitment to the development of the region, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal conducted a comprehensive inspection of two vital projects in Rajouri, reaffirming the dedication of the administration to timely execution and quality delivery.

During his visit, the Deputy Commissioner undertook an extensive examination of the ongoing construction of the 110-meter span bridge connecting Palma to Chowkian. The launching work on the bridge is in progress. This project, being executed by the PWD (R&B), at an estimated cost of Rs 418 lacs, is set to be completed by December 31, 2023.

Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the bridge, emphasizing the significance of this infrastructure in fostering enhanced connectivity across the region. He directed the officers to maintain the current momentum, with a primary focus on ensuring the timely completion of the project without compromising on quality standards.

Inspecting another key development, the Deputy Commissioner took stock of the progress on Nagrota Mehra Water Supply Scheme, being executed under the ambitious Jal Jeevan Mission. This scheme, with a cost of Rs 8.05 Crore, is set to be completed by December 31, 2023.

During the inspection of the water supply scheme, the Deputy Commissioner reiterated the critical importance of the jal jeevan mission in improving the lives of the local populace. He praised the efforts of the executing team and encouraged them to work diligently towards achieving the set deadline while maintaining the highest standards of water quality.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Mohammad Khurshid, CPO, Devi Dayal, SE PWD(R&B) and XEN PWD(R&B) Rajouri, Sardar Khan and XEN Jal Shakti Rajouri, Ashwini Sharma.
