Appeals people with rare groups to donate blood to save precious lives
DODA, NOVEMBER 04: Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, along with R&B Functionaries on Saturday visited Associated Hospital Government Medical College Doda (AH-GMC) and main building of the GMC at Ghat (Doda) to assess the tertiary healthcare facilities in the district.
During the visit, the DC stressed the significance of punctuality by doctors and staff, importance of maintaining sanitation and hygiene to ensure the effective delivery of healthcare services.
The inspection encompassed a thorough evaluation of patient care, cleanliness of wards and the performance of doctors and staff. Additionally, the diagnostic centre within the hospital received careful scrutiny, and interactions with patients, attendants and hospital staff provided valuable insights.
District Development Commissioner Harvinder Singh extended the inspection visit to Government Medical College Ghat, where he engaged with medical students in a inspiring interaction to gain a deeper understanding of their experiences and concerns. He inspected the under construction works at GMC Ghat and Teaching Hospital, Additional Children’s ward, Operation Theater, in AH GMC Doda and stressed upon the executing agency PWD to expedite the work, maintaining the highest grade of quality. He listened to the issues raised by the GMC authorities and PWD engineers and ensured the administration’s full cooperation in upbringing the prestigious government project for better healthcare services to the people of the region.
Effective management of parking space was emphasized to minimize disruptions in patient care, with designated areas allocated for ambulances, doctors, and staff. Accompanied by the Principal GMC Doda Dr Puja Vimesh, Medical Superintendent AH-GMC, CAO-GMC, Ex En PWD Div Doda and concerned.
Principal of GMC Doda, Dr Puja Umesh, brought to light the issues and demands related to road connectivity to GMC Ghat and infrastructure for the hostel and other GMC-related matters. The DC Doda assured swift action and directed concerned officers to address these concerns promptly, expediting the necessary processes. DC, while inspecting Diagnostic Block, appealed to the people to volunteer themselves in donating blood, particularly rear group blood, and contribute in saving precious human lives.
