Srinagar : Present day Kashmiri youth strongly believes that a society which desires growth has to invest in empowering the women so as to propel the process of attaining prosperity. However graph of the endeavors towards the women empowerment tends to take a downward swing at times owing to the geographical barriers and remoteness of the area. Army however makes constant dedicated efforts to support the cause of women empowerment by facilitating AWAAM to overcome the hindrances of the nature. In pursuit of these efforts Torna Battalion under the aegis of Pir Panjal Brigade organised a Fun and Learning trip for the girl students from the remote areas of Boniyar Tehsil to Srinagar. 35 female students along with their teachers from border villages of Chotali, Sumwali, Trikanjan, Maidanan and Boniyar volunteered to join the trip.
