DLSA Srinagar and Art of Living Foundation collaborate for Meditation Training

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 11: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar, in partnership with the Art of Living Foundation, hosted one-hour introductory training program on Meditation for Relaxation and Peace.

This transformative event was designed exclusively for judicial officers, staff members of DLSA, members of the Legal Aid and Defense Counsel (LADC), penal lawyers, and Para Legal Volunteers.

The special occasion witnessed the presence of Jawad Ahmed, Chairman of DLSA Srinagar, who graced the event as the chief guest. This one-hour program aimed to introduce the attendees to the transformative power of meditation.

The program commenced on a melodious note with the uplifting strains of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) Theme Song, resonating with the audience and setting the tone for the event.

The session began with a warm welcome and introductory remarks by Jawad Ahmed Chairman, DLSA, Srinagar, who highlighted the significance of the collaboration between DLSA Srinagar and the Art of Living Foundation in promoting the well-being of judicial officers and legal professionals.

Vandana Daftari, Regional Director of the Art of Living Foundation, conducted the session and shared valuable insights about meditation techniques and their profound impact on personal and professional lives. She encouraged the attendees to incorporate meditation practices into their daily routines for enhanced well-being. She offered a glimpse into the organization’s global impact and dedication to inner peace.

Participants delved into the historical roots and scientific benefits of meditation as an invaluable tool for physical and mental well-being and had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a guided meditation, allowing them to explore their inner reservoirs of tranquility.

The one-hour program concluded with vote of thanks by Secretary DLSA, Srinagar expressing his gratitude to the Art of Living Foundation, Judicial Officers and other participants, and the dedicated team that made the event possible.
