DDC Chairperson conducts extensive tour of Panchayat Gandala in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 01: Chairperson DDC Udhampur, Lal Chand, today conducted an extensive tour of Panchayat Gandala and inspected the old and new buildings of G.H.S Gandala.

He was accompanied by Chief Education Officer, Geetu Bangotra, AD planning, Sarpanches of Gandala and Tirshi, Kuldeep Kumar and Pawan Kumar, along with other PRI members and locals.

The old school building was found to be in a dilapidated condition, Chairperson DDC directed the CEO to relocate middle and high school classes to the new building by Monday. The new structure boasts six classrooms, two CSC units and a 150 x 200 square feet playing area. The relocation is intended to improve the learning environment.

PRI members, Sarpanch, Naib Sarpanch and locals expressed gratitude to Chairperson for his visit and guidance.

Education Department officials were urged to prioritize rural education quality and encouraged PRI members to continue developmental efforts in the area.

Chairperson also inaugurated the extension work for the construction of a drain on Jib-Thathi Road toward Katra, with PWD Udhampur overseeing the project. This initiative is expected to benefit thousands of residents and commuters in the region.
