To commemorate National Sports Day, the Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K organised sports and recreational activities in all the sports zones of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir on Tuesday.
Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu distributed trophies and medals among winning & runner up team in an impressive ceremony at Khel Goan Nagrota here.
Earlier a week long National Sports Day programmes of games and sports were organised by the department of Youth Services and Sports in different sports zones of District Jammu.
Teams of Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-kho, Football competed for their best performance in the matches of these games.
These competitions were inaugurated by Secretary to Govt. Youth Services and Sports Department on 24th of the current month in presence of Director Youth Services and Sports along with other dignitaries. The best performers of the week long sports activities were presented medals and trophies. Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu Suram Chand Sharma, District Youth Services and Sports Jammu Sukhdev Raj and other senior officers and officials of the Department appreciated the winners and runners up teams.
