Deputy Commissioner reviews arrangements for Independence Day celebrations at Rajouri

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the Independence Day celebrations. The meeting was attended by line departments whereat different aspects of the arrangements were discussed and finalized.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of the day and urged officials to put in coordinated efforts to ensure that all arrangements are put in place well in time. The meeting decided that the day will begin with Shehnai Vadan by the Information Department, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony and parade by District Police, NCC, CRPF, BSF, Home guard, JKFPF, and ITBP.

To ensure that the celebrations are conducted smoothly, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officials to ensure adequate security arrangements, cleanliness, illumination of government buildings, parking facilities, traffic management, and proper seating arrangements at the main venue.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of coordination among officials and urged them to put all necessary arrangements in place well in advance. The successful conduct of the Independence Day function would require the cooperation of all officials involved.

Officers who attended the meeting were SSP Rajouri, Amrit Pal Singh; Commandant IRP 2nd Battalion, Randeep; DFO Rajouri, Arshdeep Singh; ADC Rajouri, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria; ADC Nowshera, Kartar Singh; ADC Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal; PO ICDS, Shoket Mehmood Malik; GM DIC, Ashwini Sharma; CEO Tourism, Vivek Puri; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ASP, Vivek Shekhar; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; ACD, Vijay Kumar; SE Hydraulics, Bharam Jyoti Sharma; DSEO, Sandeep Sharma and other concerned officers.
