117 BATTALION CRPF ORGANIZES HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL MEDICAL CAMP IN KURSOO AREA

117 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) of Srinagar Sector demonstrated its commitment to serving the local community by organizing a remarkable medical camp at the campus of the Muslim Public High School in Kursoo, Rajbagh, Srinagar. The event garnered overwhelming support from the school management and the local populace, making it a resounding success.
The medical camp, inaugurated by Sh. Biplab Sarkar, Commandant of the 117 Battalion CRPF, commenced at 0900 hrs and continued throughout the day, offering essential healthcare services to residents of all age groups. Two CRPF medical officers, Dr. Yamini Chelvi and Dr. Isma Maqsood along with Dr. Parvaiz and his dedicated medical team from the office of Zonal Medical Officer, tirelessly attended to a total of 409 patients registered in the OPD.
The highlight of the event was the presence and active participation of Dr. R. C. Bashariya, DIG Medical of Srinagar Sector CRPF, who not only visited the camp but also provided medical attention to several patients. All medical services and medications were provided free of cost to the patients, demonstrating the CRPF’s commitment to the welfare of the community.
The support and appreciation from the locals were overwhelming, with Mr. Altaf, Chairman of Muslim Public High School, and other prominent individuals lauding the CRPF’s noble initiative. Sh. Jitendra Mohan Silswal, Sh. Abhiram Pankaj, 2ICs, Sh. Vikas Kumar, Deputy Commandant, 117 Battalion and the team of officers of 117 Battalion actively participated in the event and engaged with the locals, fostering a strong sense of community connection.
Sh. Biplab Sarkar, Commandant 117 Battalion expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the locals and the medical team from Zonal Medical Office for their overwhelming support, which played a pivotal role in making the medical camp a grand success. He extended his sincere appreciation to the school management, Mr. Altaf, Chairman of Muslim Public High School, and other prominent individuals for their invaluable cooperation in organizing the event.
Furthermore, Sh. Ajay Kumar Yadav, IG, Srinagar Sector in his message emphasised upon CRPF’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of the local community. He commended the efforts of the 117 Unit CRPF for organizing the medical camp and reiterated the organization’s dedication to serving the community with utmost sincerity and care.
The positive impact of this initiative was evident as the locals wholeheartedly praised the CRPF’s efforts and fervently requested them to continue such noble endeavors in the future.

117 Battalion CRPF remains steadfast in its commitment to serving the community and looks forward to organizing more such impactful events that contribute to the well-being of the people.
