In a major show of sectarian harmony and brotherhood, Indian army were seen distributing drinking water to Shia mourners in Zalpora Sumbal area of Bandipora district during the massive 11th Muharram procession on Sunday.
Thousands of mourners amid thumping of chests and recitation of praises in favour of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) passed through Mohala Akbar Zawar Zalpora through Sadat mohala they were provided drinking water by Indain army in a show of solidarity and sectarian harmony.
Indian army’s 13RR Naidkhai camp had installed a stall and distributing water to the Shia mourners. Dozens of mourners were seen drinking the refreshments from “Army Sabeel”. “The sabeel is to stand with the Shia mourners on this day of 11th moharram and to earn rewards as well. Indian army is part and parcel of the society. It’s our prime duty to stand with our shia brethren today,” Indian army esspecially 13RR Naidkhai camp were seen distributing the drinking water among the mourners.
Latter on the 11th muharram procession began from mohala akbar zawar Zalpora after passing through Sadat mohala zalpora .
Then after passing by local roads culminated at same place at mohala Akbar Zalpora imambada.
