Interacts with people; serves water to mourners
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today visited Shia inhabited area of Shahoo Sachan in Pahloo block, where he participated in observance of Ashoora mournings and took stock of services available for the people.
On the occasion, the DC visited Imam Bara at Shahoo and took stock of available facilities including drinking water, healthcare, power, sanitation etc. and instructed for extending all support and services to the mourners and ensure hassle free observance of Ashoora.
He also interacted with the representatives of the Shia Community and people there. DC along with SSP and other officers served water to the mourners on the occasion.
Dr Bilal remembered the sacrifices of beloved Imam Hussain (AS), his family and his companions, who stood up against tyranny and injustice, upholding the virtues of patience and righteousness.
SSP Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal; ASP, NH, Tehsildar Pahloo and other officers from police and civil administration accompanied the DC and also participated in the observance of Ashoora.
