DC Rajouri discuss arrangements for annual Urs of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah (RA)

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, chaired a meeting to discuss the arrangements for annual Urs of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah (RA) Pakharpora scheduled on July 28 and July 29, 2023 (9th and 10th Moharam)

The meeting was attended by SSP, Amritpal Singh; Administrator Auqaf Rajpuri, Ashiq Rafiq Malik; SDM Thanamandi, Shafiq Mir; Tehsildar Thanamandi, Syed Sahil Ali and other officials.

The DC had a detailed review regarding different arrangements including security arrangements, health facilities, transport facility, sanitation, potable water supply, uninterrupted electricity and provision of related facilities for the visiting devotees.

Administrator Waqf Board Rajouri informed the meeting that the Waqf Board will make all arrangements with regard to Urs and further development of Ziarat Sharif.

The meeting also discussed the beautification plan and related projects for Shrine which includes construction of Dining Hall, police post and other works related to repair and renovation of buildings.

The DC issued directions to Executive Engineer PWD to fill potholes on Thanamandi-Shahdara Shareef route. The CEO Tourism Development authority and Assistant Director Tourism were also directed to complete tourism related works on priority.
