DC Budgam takes first-hand appraisal of Muharram arrangements at Chattergam

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo today visited Imam Bara Chattergam to take first-hand appraisal of Muharram-ul-Harram arrangements.

On the occasion, DC emphasised that adequate arrangements including water and electricity supply, filling of potholes on all roads where processions are taken out, shifting of public utilities be ensured on priority for the convenience of general public.

Directions were given that street lights be ensured are installed and old ones are made functional in all areas.

The DC instructed concerned officers to conduct spot visits and ensure addressing all genuine demands of locals on priority.

He said that the District Administration is committed to ensure better facilities in all areas for smooth conduct of mourning processions and congregations during the month of Muharram.

The DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr Nasir Ahmad; SDM Chadoora, Executive Engineer R&B, Executive Engineer PHE, Tehsildar and other concerned officers.
