Nowshera forest division conducts series of plantation drives under one Beat Guard one village Program

Nowshera Forest Division organized a series of Plantation drives under the “One Beat Guard One Village” programme.

A drive was conducted in village Dharamsal of Sunderbani Range. Pawan Kumar, Naib Sarpanch Panchyat Dharamsal and other PRI members along with a number of villagers took part in the drive. Abdul Ghani Beat Guard Dharamsal conducted the drive with the help of Block Forest Officer Dharamsal, Rajinder Dev and other staff members. On said occasion a number of fruit, Medicinal and fodder plants were planted & distributed.

Under the same banner of “One Beat Guard One Village” another plantation drive was conducted in village Gagrote of Panchayat Gagrote in Lamberi Forest Range. Ashok Kumar Sarpanch, Panchyat Gagrote and Pankaj Singh Panch, Sanjeev Kumar Panch along with other PRI members and local public participated in the plantation drive.

In the same pattern, another drive was conducted at Village Harichuma-B Panchayat Galan of Lamberi Forest Range. Vinod Kumar, Sarpanch Galan and other PRI members, besides local public of the area participated.

The Sarpanches PRI members and general public of the area lauded the efforts of Forest department for increasing the green cover and thanked Vivek Verma, Conservator of Forests West Circle Rajouri, Satyendra Maurya, Divisional Forest Officer Nowshera and Sudesh Kumar, Range Officer Sunderbani/Lamberi for organising these plantation drives and creating awareness among the villagers regarding the importance of increasing tree cover and benefit of plantation for soil conservation, besides rainfall and other climatic factors which directly influence the farm productivity.
