DC inspects developmental projects in Reasi, Katra areas

Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babilla Rakwal today inspected progress of work on major developmental projects being executed by PWD (R&B), JJM and PMGSY in Katra and Reasi blocks.

The major works of PWD(R&B) inspected by the DDC were Bridge at Baradari on NH-144 on Katra- Reasi road, up-gradation of link road Dhansar Baba under potholes scheme and Construction of four 6 m span culverts on NH-144 Katra Reasi road.

While inspecting the works, she laid stress on quality of work and timely completion of the projects. She further directed engineering staff to monitor these works by conducting regular visits to the work sites.

Inspection of ongoing works of Jal Jeevan Mission was also conducted which included Retrofitting and Augmentation of Water Supply Scheme Chamyara Pangyala and Retrofitting and Augmentation of Water Supply Scheme Kala Suketar. She issued instructions to staff of the Jal Shakti department to complete the projects in stipulated time.

Later, the DDC also inspected a 38 meter steel span bridge at Bhagha. She urged PRI members to monitor the pace of development works in their areas for timely completion. The Executive Engineers of these departments and the supporting staff were also present.
