PSPS GCW Gandhinagar organises awareness lecture on Drug abuse

To mark International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Committee of Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government College for Women organised an awareness lecture, here today.

Daman Mahajan, JKSPYM, Jammu delivered the lecture to spread awareness amongst the students. He elaborated the ill effects of drug use and explained how the mechanism and mind of an individual changes, when one consumes drugs on a regular basis. He gave students tips about different ways and methods to handle such situations and also how an institution can spread awareness about the same.

The lecture was followed by an interactive session with the students of the college. The students discussed different issues and raised several queries.

The students found the session insightful, The speaker also discussed the myths related to drugs. Helping spread awareness regarding such topics is an important aspect and can go a long way in helping save someone’s life.

The Whole event was coordinated by Convenor of the Committee Prof. Rashmi Kumari and others members were Prof. Paramjeet Singh, Prof. Swarn Singh, Prof. Kusum and Prof.Sunita.
