During the market checking operation, a total of 1,2000 fines were imposed on shopkeepers found to be breaking the established laws. The fines were issued to those who were selling expired products or charging prices higher than the maximum retail price (MRP) set by the authorities. The administration urged the public to promptly inform them if they come across any such violations by shopkeepers, emphasizing the importance of consumer safety and fair trade.

Naib Tehsildar, speaking to the media, stressed the significance of the market checking exercise, stating, “We have taken strict action against those who have violated the laws and regulations governing the market. It is crucial for the public to report any instances of expired products or overcharging so that we can maintain a fair and transparent business environment.”

Furthermore, Haji Tasleem Mir, the President of Bopar Mandal, advised all shopkeepers to register their businesses with his office. Shop registration helps to ensure that the shopkeepers are operating legally and abiding by the prescribed regulations.

The market checking operation conducted by the Karnah administration highlights their commitment to protecting consumer rights and maintaining a fair marketplace ahead of the festive season. Through rigorous enforcement of regulations, authorities aim to create an environment where customers can shop with confidence, knowing that their interests are being safeguarded.

As the Eid Ul Adha celebrations draw closer, it is expected that such market checking operations will continue to be conducted to curb any potential malpractices. The administration remains vigilant in its efforts to ensure that both shopkeepers and consumers have a positive and secure experience during this auspicious time.
