Dedicates newly constructed Bridge en-route Machail Mata Yatra Bhawan to public

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav today presided over a public grievances redressal camp at Paddar to resolve the concerns of the local community and foster the development of the sub-division.

The event also marked the inauguration of the free Home Stay management training Course for local youth organised by RSETI Kishtwar under Project SANKALP.

The newly constructed Kundhail Bridge over Bhot rivulet in Panchayat Pallali was also inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner in presence of BDC Paddar Arpan Singh Rana; DDC member Paddar, Hari Krishan Chauhan and others. The bridge will facilitate convenient travel for the Shree Machail Mata Yatra.

During the public grievance redressal camp held at Gulabgarh, the Deputy Commissioner attentively listened to the grievances of the locals, as well as the Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) members.

Concerns related to the improvement of local infrastructure and efficient public service delivery were prominently highlighted.

Taking prompt action, the Deputy Commissioner, in consultation with the relevant authorities, addressed the issues raised by the people on the spot. Emphasizing the significance of the Machail Yatra 2023, the Deputy Commissioner informed the attendees that developmental works have been completed to ensure a smooth and successful pilgrimage.

“The home stay course for local youth has the potential to become a milestone in the implementation of self-employment generation schemes in the tourism sector. The Machail Yatra presents an opportunity for the local population to benefit economically,” he said.

He further encouraged the locals and PRIs to collaborate in ensuring cleanliness and sanitation during the Yatra. The Deputy Commissioner also affirmed that priority would be given to employing locals as sanitary workers during the pilgrimage.

Additionally, he informed the audience about the “Hello Kishtwar” Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS), being held to enable people to conveniently lodge grievances from the comfort of their homes.

Responding to concerns regarding staff shortage in schools, the Deputy Commissioner said that the issues would be resolved soon by implementing the Annual Transfer Drive.

During the event, various other grievances, such as water scarcity, network issues, and transformer-related problems, were also promptly addressed and resolved on the spot, demonstrating the commitment of district administration to improve the lives of the community.
