Attending the meeting were key officials, including Director Tourism Jammu, Vivekananda Rai; Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal and the members of the SSKSB.

The meeting discussed the activity plan featuring a series of events to be held from 10th July to 28th August 2023, every Monday, to celebrate the month of Shrawan as a time for Shiva worship and Pooja at Shiv Khori Shrine Ransoo.

To create a memorable experience for pilgrims and visitors, a variety of events have been scheduled for each Monday of the Shrawan month. These activities encompass bhajan concerts, stage performances, katha and sermons, bhajan competitions, screenings of movies and documentaries, art competitions and exhibitions, as well as religious ceremonies.

During the meeting, discussions revolved around the tentative budget, program details, contingency plans, the reception of devotees and the provision of amenities for the visitors. Additionally, emphasis was placed on promoting tourism in the region while respecting religious beliefs.

The presence of non-official members, including Prof Chander Mouli Raina, retired scholar and astrologer from Sanskrit University Kote, Jammu; Dr Shiv Prasad Raina, scholar and astrologer from Jammu and Prof Lalit Magotra, retired professor from the University of Jammu and President of Dogri Sanstha Jammu, proved valuable in providing insights to ensure the success of the program and projection of the holy shrine as a major pilgrim tourist destination.

The Shivkhori Shrawan Mahotsav is anticipated to be an exceptional event that will inspire devotion and foster a deeper connection with Lord Shiva among the participants and attendees.
