Secretary, Planning Development and Monitoring Department, Dr Raghav Langer, today delivered a thought provoking lecture during the Training Course for JKAS Officer Trainees at J&K IMPARD.

During the lecture, Secretary focused on the intricate process of planning in the government, providing valuable insights into the overall development scenario of Jammu and Kashmir and its economic status.

 

He elaborately explained the concepts of GSDP, per capita income, sectoral contribution, budget preparation, revenue and capital receipts/expenditure, fiscal deficit, tax-GDP ratio, debt-GDP ratio and related issues to the probationers in a simple and lucid manner.

 

Dr Langer’s expertise and in-depth knowledge deeply engaged the officer trainees, offering them a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in driving development initiatives.

 

Following lecture, Dr Langer also interacted with the officer trainees and discussed various issues and exchanged experience and ideas.

 

Dr Jahan Ara Jabeen and Dr S. Khurshid Ul Islam, the coordinators of the course, ensured smooth organization and execution of the lecture. They facilitated the officer trainees with a conducive learning environment, enabling them to gain valuable insights from Dr Langer’s vast experience in governance and planning.
