The session commenced with a warm welcome and an introduction to the role and responsibilities of the Deputy Commissioner’s office besides witnessing an active exchange of ideas and perspectives, as students eagerly shared their thoughts, concerns, and aspirations with the DC.

The school children also visited various offices located at the mini secretariat Bandipora and interacted with officers/officials.

It is worth mentioning here that the District Administration recently launched an initiative to facilitate visit of school children to different Government offices and interact with officers and get know how of Government functionaries.

Speaking on the occasion, DC said that the interactive meet was aimed to encourage and inspire young minds and highlight the importance of civic engagement.

Dr. Owais highlighted the role of future generations in driving positive change within their community and emphasized the power of collective action and encouraged the students to actively participate in initiatives that promote inclusivity, environmental sustainability, and social harmony.

He said that such sessions serve as an excellent opportunity for the administration to connect with the younger generation, nurturing their sense of civic responsibility and inspiring them to become future leaders and change-makers within the community.

The DC expressed appreciation for the students’ active participation and emphasized the importance of staying informed, participating in public meetings, and collaborating with community leaders to contribute towards building a brighter future for all.

Chairman of the school, Junaid Ahmad said that this initiative of District Administration proved to be an insightful and empowering experience, laying the foundation for a stronger relationship between local government and the youth and expressed his gratitude to the District Administration for the novel initiative.
