Dy CMO Doda reviews implementation of Family Welfare programmes in Block Assar

DThe Dy. Chief Medical Officer Doda, Dr Om Kumar Bhagat conducted a visit to Medical Block Assar and inspected the functioning of SC Jathi, NTPHC Shamthi and PHC Assar and took stock of the public health care delivery system.

During the visit, the Dy CMO took a round of all sections of the health centres visited and issued instructions to the concerned for better upkeep of the MCH section besides reviewed the functioning of all family welfare programmes including immunization, Family Planning, ANCs etc and enjoined upon all the staff to work cordially in making all the family welfare schemes successful on ground, so that better and accessible health care services shall be given to the people at their door steps.

 

Regarding the increase in institutional deliveries at block level, the Dy CMO instructed the BMO concerned to put in their best to utilizes the proper services of ASHAs to motivate the pregnant ladies to go for institutional & safe delivery, besides gave more emphasis on immunization,anti natal check up and wide awareness about family planning methods.

 

The Dy CMO, also conducted a comprehensive review of the implementation of the Kayakalp and NQAS programme at HWC- Sub Centre Jathi and assessed the progress made in enhancing the quality of healthcare services and promoting cleanliness in health care facilities and undertook a thorough evaluation of the implementation of Kayakalp and NQAS.

 

At Shamti, a delegation of PRIs and locals of the area met Dy CMO Doda and apprised him about the deficiency of health staff at NTPHC Shamthi, to which he assured them to take up the matter with higher authorities for early redressal.

 

Dy CMO was accompanied by Shiv Pal (DMEIO) and Ms Priyanka Manhas (VCCM)
