SVEEP activities aimed at achieving vision of improving voter percentage: Dr. Owais

BANDIPORA APRIL 11: As a  part of  Systematic Voter Education Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme,  District Administration Bandipora in collaboration with District Election office Bandipora on Tuesday conducted voter awareness campaign at Wullar vintage Bandipora  to raise awareness regarding various voting related activities.   The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmed as chief guest, Padmashri Faisal Ali Dar as brand ambassador of SVEEP activities District Bandipora, Nodal Officer Coordination Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, Functional Manager DIC Bandipora Mehraj Wani and other concerned.   The campaign turned into a celebration with the active participation of the newly-enrolled voters, youth and huge gathering of local populace.   The event witnessed first of its kind boat racing  among local youth to generate awareness among people and a cricket match was also held to ensure maximum participation of eligible voters.   In his address, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Owais Ahmed  said that district administration has set the vision of improving the voting percentage  and the SVEEP activities are aimed at achieving the target.  He said district administration is also commited to develop more sports infrastructure for the benefit of local youth.   Dr. Owais stressed on conducting more such events to engage youth in sports activities, explore new places and raise intensive awareness among voters under SVEEP.
