Schools in Gbl open with Covid-19 restrictions  DC inspects arrangements at various schools

GANDERBAL, MARCH 01: Schools for class 9th to 12th reopened today amid Covid-19 restrictions in district Ganderbal after lockdown was imposed last year.

In an effort to raise the morale of the students, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal on the occasion visited various Secondary Schools where he welcomed the students with flowers and sweets.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba and Dy. CEO Ganderbal accompanied the DC during the visit.

On the occasion, the DC congratulated the students and staff members for the reopening of schools and also cautioned everyone to follow all the Covid-19 safety measures properly.

Meanwhile, the DC also inspected the arrangements put in place for the students including sanitation, seating, thermal checks and other related arrangements.

He also interacted with the students and urged them to attend their classes regularly and shared valuable suggestions regarding excelling in life.

The Dy. CEO briefed the DC about the arrangements and informed that thermal checks are being conducted at entry points of the school and seating arrangements of classrooms have been changed to prevent overcrowding.

The DC urged that all schools shall follow Covid-19 safety guidelines to ensure that the students and the staff members are safe inside school premises.
