Vehicle laden with illicit timber seized in Budgam, accused arrested: Police

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday seized illicit timber and arrested an accused person involved in the commission of crime in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

in a statement issued  said that Police station Magam received information that one person namely Hilal Ahmad Shah S/O Ab Rashid Shah R/O Nagbal Khag has loaded illegally acquired timber in the form of logs in his car (Maruti Wagon R) bearing registration number DL9CN 8043 and intends to transport it to other location. Accordingly, the said vehicle laden with illegally acquired timber (02 logs measuring 9 Sq.feet Deodar) was seized at Kandhama Magam and accused person has been arrested on the spot.
