ANANTNAG, OCTOBER13: The Department of Education along with other stakeholders today celebrated the UN International Day for Natural Disaster Reduction across all middle, High and Higher secondary schools in the district.
In more than 1120 schools 22400 students and 4800 teachers participated in the celebration.
Various activities were conducted in schools which include conducting mass awareness programmes, seminars on Natural Disaster Reduction, painting depicting Natural Disaster Reduction, Essay writing competition on the said topic besides other activities.
Mass awareness was given to students on how to reduce the Natural disaster and lectures were also delivered by the speakers on the said topic during the event.
