The menace of drugs among the youth is spreading at an alarming rate which is among the greatest causes of concern. In order to free the society of such heinous societal crimes, a special drive have been launched by Poonch Police against the drug abuse.
Carrying forward the special drive, today on the directions of SSP Poonch Rohit Baskotra ,(JKPS ) A Police party led by SHO Surankote Rajveer Singh Accompained By PSI Rohit Manmar under the supervision of DYSP Surankote Mr Tanveer Jeelani under close supervision of Adll.SP Mushim Ahmed Patrolling Duty At Madana When Reached At Dhundak Bridge One Maruti Car Bearing Registration Number JK02AH 5155 Signal to Stop to conduct the checking of vehicles
During checking The Maruti Car which was on it’s way from Surankote Towards Madana was signalled to stop for checking.
On thorough search of the vehicle, recovered 3 Plastic bags filled with Heroine (Chitta) like substances weighing Near about 20 to 24 grams from both of the empty compartment of the maruti, the new modous operandi how to smuggle the contraband. The said vehicle has been seized.
In this regard case FIR NO 252 253/2022 U/S 8 /15/21/22 /25/27A of NDPS act stands registered against the accused persons Namely Aquib Javed S/0 Fiaz Akhter R/0 Surankote Tehsil Surankote, Sajad S/0 Muzzafar Hussain R/0 Seri Khawaja investigation has been geared up to asertain the source & other persons involved in smuggling of contraband.
Poonch Police is not leaving any stone unturned to curb drug smuggling & public in general is requested to co-operate & strengthen the hands of Poonch Police to weed out the social evils from the society.
It is pertinent to metion here that different nakas have been established at different locations by police to check any type of unlawful activities.
