BJP kashmir unit to strengthen party organization in the valley after 3 victories in DDC elections.
Bhartiya Janta Party general secretary and in-charge Kashmir affairs Vibodh Gupta said that victory of BJP in the DDC elections is the victory of the developmental policies of BJP and vibrant vision of PM Narendra Modi adding that it is the victory of the ballot over bullets, development over destruction and peace over the politics of hate. BJP performance was remarkable in Jammu, Vibodh asserted that lotus, had bloomed in the Valley as well.
He told BJP has won 74 seats against the NC’s 67, PDP’s 27 and the Congress’ 26 and claimed that vote share has been unprecedently in favour of BJP. He noted that Lotus attracted 4,87,364 votes which are even more than the votes polled to National Conference, PDP and Congress together which is 2,82,51, 55,789 and 1,39,382 respectively. The message is loud and clear that the people have rejected the Gupkar Gang.
Vbodh Gupta said that this victory is the mandate given by the people of Jammu and Kashmir against the negative politics of Gupkar Gang and the historic blunders and injustices done by the previous National Conference, PDP and Congress governments with the people of J&K. The people have voted for democracy backing the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A and Prime Minister’s vision of Naya Kashmir.
Speaking on BJP’s maiden victories in Kashmir Vibodh Gupta said that the entire country burst into celebrations and danced on patriotic and nationalist tone after lotus bloomed in Dal Lake. He strongly asserted that BJP has established a strong base in the valley with over two and a half lakh membership and a commendable vote share in the DDC elections.
Be it massive Shikara, Tiranga & Tanga Rally or maiden three victories in Kashmir the karyakartas of Bhartiya Janta Pary have achieved various milestones vowing to take democracy to the grassroots level. There is a long way to go. We have already started working on strengthening the party organization based on the DDC election result in the valley, Vibodh said.
