In the remote outskirts of the district of Kupwara is a small village T’Suntwari. The remote town hardly has any traffic on road with a daily volume of only four to five vehicles or a couple of ponies on its non metalled roads.However , the small mountain road was abuzz with activity since today morning , with more than 160 villagers of varied age groups including 30 girls from the villages of Chuntwari Oayeen , Dhoban and Hajimolla joining the Run For Fun Event organised by the Local Army Unit.The Indian Army has earmarked this month for Kargil Victory Celebrations and continued to do so in the Villages close to the LoC. What was noticeable was the zeal and fervour with which the villagers are participating in these events Apart from being for a cause the event also saw participants in varied age groups getting attractive prizes for a finish at the podium. The event was culminated after an awareness lecture on the Agnipath Scheme for entry into the Armed Forces .The Army also prophesizes physical fitness as its bedrock for overall societal upliftment with activities like these being organised in the villages ,ultimately connecting with the masses heart and mind .
