Says Rs 30757 Cr Grant for J&K to act as a major economy booster for the UT; focus on Job creations to fulfill dreams of unemployed lot; it’s a budget never like before, CU for Leh a big decision
Srinagar, Feb 1: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K spokesman Altaf Thakur Monday welcomed the Union Budged 2021 presented by the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Parliament today terming as a well-thought out, well-crafted and a pro-poor budget aimed at boosting country’s economy and addressing the issues of unemployment.
In a statement issued here, Thakur while praising Union Finance Minister for a people friendly and pro-poor budget said that the Budget 2021 that comprises major sops will act like a Covid vaccine for one and all across the country including J&K UT.
Thakur expressed gratitude to the Union Finance Minister over her announcement regarding the finance minister proposing to take concrete steps to create institution infrastructure. He said that the announcement of a Central University for Leh is a big decision and needs to be hailed on all fronts.
The BJP leader appreciated the Budget that lays emphasis on that the direct taxes will remain unchanged, stating that there is a lot of yard work behind framing the people’s budget. He said the primary focus in the budget has been on the creation of jobs across the country in both private and government sectors starting with this move, unemployed will fulfill their dreams. He said that agriculture has been the major focus of the Budget-2021 and this will help production of agri-products, crops etc in the country.
Thakur also hailed Union Finance minister for extending Ujwala scheme for 1 crore more people across the country including women from the weaker section of society. He said that the announcement with regard to one nation-one ration card will help bring equality and equal distribution of ration among people. He said that the Union Finance Minister’s decision to rationalize custom duties on gold and silver is a move that needs appreciation.
