Stresses on tendering, work allotments on fast track basis

BUDGAM, MAY 11: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today chaired a meeting on Jal Jeevan Mission at Conference Hall Budgam.

At the outset, the DC reviewed the status of under construction Water schemes, DPRs, tendering, work allotments of all JJM works.

The meeting among others was attended by JD Planning, SE Hydraulics, CEO, CMO, ACP, Executive Engineers PHE, DSWO, CAO and other concerned.

The chair was apprised that out of total 1275555 total rural households, 70606 households shall be connected to supply tap water under various WSS under JJM.

The DC also took the detailed review of estimations, rate revisions, re- tendering, allotments for construction of filtration, plants OHTs reservoirs and laying of pipelines and other related works.

The DC emphasized that all JJM works be executed on fast track basis and instructed concerned to conduct IEC activities through sign boards, hoardings , public announcements and public interactions programmes in all areas.

He said that all testing labs be made fully functional with all required equipments be placed and training for the water testing is conducted.

He directed that besides all households be connected through tap water, all pending schools, aganwadi centres, health centres and panchayat ghars shall also be provided with tap water connections under various WWS schemes across the district.

The DC also emphasized on Grey water management and instructed concerned to provide all technical support for proper Grey water management in all low lying areas.
