Kulgam , January 29, 2021: Continuining its drive against Drug menace in District Kulgam.
Police party of District Police Kulgam led by I/C PP JT SI Farooq Ahmad established a Naka at Zig Mode Qazigund on NHW and intercepted a vehicle (Taveera) bearing registration No.JK19-0966 moving towards Jammu, during checking of vehicle and two persons namely:-
1. Umer Majid Sheikh (Driver) S/O Abdul Majeed Sheikh R/O Dardgund Qazigund.
2. Umer Farooq S/O Abdul Majeed Khawaja R/O Fazalabad Surankot District Poonch, officers were able to recover Charas like substance weighing 110 Gram from their possession.
Both the drug peddlers were arrested and the contraband substance and vehicle used for committing crime were seized. Regarding the incident case FIR No. 18/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS act stands registered in Police station Qazigund and investigation has been taken up.
