Market Checking launched at Shopian
SHOPIAN, APRIL 09: The Special Enforcement Teams of the District Administration Shopian under the supervision of Naib Tehsildar Shopian today launched intensive market checking across the main market Shopian and adjoining areas.
The Special Enforcement team intensified market checking in different areas of the district to ensure all essential commodities are sold at already fixed prices besides, ensuring their quality and availability in markets.
On this occasion, rotten vegetables, milk etc. were also destroyed and a fine of Rs. 2500 was recovered from erring shopkeepers.
The Naib Tehsildar, Shopian in coordination with police, legal Metrology, Food Safety and other departments carried out inspections in the main market of Shopian and other markets to curb the black marketing and profiteering in markets.
