JAMMU, APRIL 03: The NCC cadets of 2 JK Girls Bn of PSPS Govt.PG College for Women, Gandhinagar Jammu has initiated Puneet Sagar Abhiyan 2022 here under the patronage of Dr. Sangita Nagari , the Principal of the College.
She encouraged the cadets and stressed upon the importance of cleaning water bodies. In all, 20 cadets made Posters on the theme ” Jal hi Jeevan” and tagged them on social media to spread awareness among people to keep water bodies clean and contribute their fare share in saving them.
On the second consecutive day, the 05 cadets contributed by making Videos to raise awareness among people through social media platforms and 10 cadets took the initiative of cleaning the water bodies in their nearby locality.
The third day three was marked by carrying out a Plastic Waste Collection Campaign on the banks of River Tawi at Peerkho, Panjtirthi. Twenty cadets along with ANO, Lt. Suman Bala carried out the drive successfully and disposed of the waste in municipality dustbins for further disposal.
