ANJUMAN FELICITATED SAHITYA ACADEMY LITERARY AWARD WINNERS

Anjuman Farogh-e-Urdu Jammu & Kashmir Jammu organized a function at KL Sehgal hall to felicitate three sons of the soil Aseer Kishtwari, Khalid Hussain

and Raj Rahi who are the recipient of Sahitya Academy Award for their

literary works for the year 2021.

Well attended function by the respectable citizens of Jammu and literary persons of all languages was presided over by well-known- writer and critic Prof.Quddus Javed ex HOD Urdu department University of Kashmir Presided over the function whereas Devender Rana , Senior BJP leader was the chief guest Present in the presidium were the three honourable awardees. Chief patron of the Anjuman Amin Banihali welcomed the audience. Fozia Mughal Zia, the president of the Anjuman who compered the function as well, congratulated the awardees. The three literary giants were presented with a momento and a shawl. Thereafter papers concerning the books awarded were read over by Nirmal vinod for the Dogri book of short stories Namey Tunnel. (Tunnel) written by Raj Rahi.

B N Betab presented a paper on “Twazun” writren by Aseer kishtwari and Aslam Qureshi threw light on Khalid Hussain’s short stories book “Sulan da salan”. Chief guest Devender Rana congratulating the awardees spoke about the

authors of the books who have brought laurels to Jammu & Kashmir and in particular Jammu whose literary personalities bagged three awards in the year gone by. He said that there are many talented persons in every field including literature who should be encouraged in their respective fields. Prof.Lalit Magotra for having achieved the coveted award of Sahitya Academy. President of the function Prof.Quddus Javed talked high of Aseer Kishtwari, Khalid Hussain and Raj Rahi who in their respective arena have proved their mental and who have added many valuable books in the concerned literature. He heartily congratulated all of them with a hope that in the coming times they would add more such like writings in the literature.
