JK reports 164 new positive cases

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 25: The Government today informed that 164 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 40 from Jammu division and 124 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 340598.Also, 02 COVID deaths have been reported from Kashmir Division.

Moreover, 124 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 29from Jammu Division and 95 from Kashmir Division.

The Bulletin informs that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 50 across J&K..

On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 68,900doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to1,79,93,527.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 340598 positive cases, 1355are Active Positive (349 in Jammu Division and 1006 in Kashmir Division), 334722 have recovered and 4521 have died; 2196 in Jammu division and 2325 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 18972743 test results available, 340598 samples have tested positive and 18632145 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 54,120 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.

Till date 5089495 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 8225persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1355 in isolation and 432495 in home surveillance. Besides, 4642899 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported today, the Bulletin said that Srinagar reported 51 cases, Baramulla reported 29 cases, Budgam reported 09 cases, Pulwama reported 08 cases, Kupwara reported 03 cases, Anantnag reported no cases, Bandipora reported 06cases, Ganderbal reported 16cases while as Kulgam and Shopian reported 01 fresh case each for today.

Similarly, Jammu reported 19 cases, Udhampur reported 04 cases, Rajouri reported 01case, Doda reported 05 cases, Kathua reported 01 case, Samba reported 01case, Poonch reported 04 cases, Kishtwar reported 05 cases while as Ramban and Reasi reported no fresh cases for today.
