In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said that under the guidance of Naugam Brigade, the children educated the villagers about harmful effects of plastic and alternative ways which can be used.
“Various methods to reduce, reuse and recycle were iterated to the villagers. A drawing competition was also conducted by the Army to impart awareness on plastic reduction among the children,” reads the statement.
It reads that the drive was aimed to save the environment from the degrading effect of over use of harmful plastics. “A question-answer session after the lecture was also organized to cater the queries in the minds of villagers.
