The Army Camp, Langate in association with Girls Higher Secondary School, Langate & Youth & Sports Department organised a Volleyball Tournament for Women at Girls Higher Secondary School, Langate from 29 Sep to 01 Oct 2021. The Tournament was organised in a bid to identify sporting talents and to provide women of Rajwar Region opportunities to excel in sports.
A total of 8 teams competed in the tournament. A huge audience, including Mr Shaukat Pandit, BDC, Langate, Mr Sadiq Mir, Chairman, Langate Municipal Committee, Mrs Nilofar, Principal, Government Degree College, Langate, Mrs Urooja, Executive Officer, Langate Municipal Committee, Principal and teacher staff of Girls Higher Secondary School, Langate witnessed the event and encouraged the participants.
Teams from Handwara Red’s and Govt High school, Dangiwacha played final match of the tournament. The players of both the teams played well and after a fierce and tough fight, Team from Dangiwacha Higher Secondary School was declared as the Champion of Womens Volleyball Tournament. The Winner and Runners Up teams were felicitated with trophies and prizes by the Army Officials and Civil Dignitaries.
