GANDERBAL, JULY 24: Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Peer Muzafar Ahmad today convened a meeting here to review the arrangements for Independence Day 2021 celebration.
The meeting was informed that the main function will be held in the Madri Meharban ground, Ganderbal where the National Flag will be unfurled by the chief guest followed by the march past presented by contingents drawn from District Police, CRPF, Armed Police, NCC, PTS Manigam.
In view of COVID Pandemic, The ADDC urged upon all the concerned officers that COVID-19 SOPs should be followed in letter and spirit during the function.
The ADDC directed the concerned departments to ensure proper arrangements related to security, sanitation, seating, barricading, water, supply, power supply, issuance of invitation cards, transportation and illumination of important buildings etc. on Independence Day.
CMO was directed to ensure availability of ambulance at the venue with adequate staff and medicine.
The ADDC urged to ensure hand sanitizer and face masks are kept available at the main entrance to ensure everyone has put face mask.
He while impressing upon the officers to show coordination, stressed that the committees already formulated will finalize all the arrangements before 13th August, the day of full dress rehearsal.
Meanwhile, the ADDC directed the SDM Kangan and Tehsildars of the district to ensure that all arrangements are put in place timely for the celebration of Independence Day in their respective jurisdictions.
ADC, Farooq Ahmed Baba, ASP Ganderbal, ACR, ACD, SDM Kangan, CMO, Executive Engineers of various wings and other concerned were present in the meeting.
