Poonch: District Development Commisioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today chairs a meeting with officers to review the status of construction of Bunkers in the district.

 

During the meeting, Xen, PDD informed that out of 555 allocated to RDD, 309 number of bunkers stand completed till date while 112 number of bunkers are under construction and the work of the rest 134 is not started yet.

Out of 200 bunkers designated aslanguishing projects, 70 have been completed, 80 are in progress, while work for the remaining 50 is yet to start.

In the meeting, Xen PWD, informed that a total 617 number of bunkers have been completed out of 633 and for the pending 16 ,14 number of bunkers are under execution and work for the remaining 02 bunkers has not started due to a dispute.The DC directed the Xen, PWD, to clear the dispute by the end of July.

He directed the executing agency to expedite the pace of work on construction of border bunkers to ensure their timely completion.He also directed the concerned to submit physical verification report of bunkers within week.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planing Officer, Madan Lal, Assistant Commissioner Development, Rajesh Lakhan, Xen PWD, Mohd. Parvez, BDO’s of all sub divisions besides other concerned officers were present.
