Budgam 29th JUNE 2021: Continuing its efforts against drug peddlers and its propagators, During the intervening night of 28/29-06-2021, a Naka was established at Brail Watrihail by a police party from Police post Watrihail. During checking Police intercepted a load carrier bearing registration No JK04E 8341 with three persons on board. During search of the vehicle 55 kgs of poppy Straw (fukki) was recovered which was kept in number of small bags in concealment in a space created by modifying the floor of the load carrier.
The 03 drug peddlers were arrested and subsequently identified as:
01. Mohammad Shafi Dar
S/O Nazir Ahmad Dar R/o Shoolipora
02.Mohammad Haleem
S/O Mohd Saleem R/O Malerkotla Sangrur Punjab.
03.Nadim S/O Babu R/O Malerkot Punjab.
Accordingly, a Case FIR No 134/21 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police station Khansahib and Investigation taken up, more arrests is expected in the case.
