Srinagar, Sept 22 (JKNS): As part of its ongoing Civil Action Programme, 21 Bn CRPF organised a Cricket Tournament 2026 at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Soura, Srinagar, with the objective of promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline and positive engagement among local youth.
The tournament is being conducted from 22 to 23 September 2026, with a total of eight local cricket teams participating.
The opening ceremony was graced by Prof. Mohammad Ashraf Ganie, Director, Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), as the Chief Guest; Mrs. Ashifa Shaheen, Principal, Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Soura, as the Guest of Honour; and Shri Anil Kumar Briksh, Commandant, 21 Bn CRPF.
Officers and personnel of 21 Bn CRPF, along with local residents and youth, were also present on the occasion.
