Srinagar, Sep 21 (JKNS): Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Monday said that the safety of children remains paramount, asserting that anyone violating the trust placed in educational institutions will face the strongest action permissible under law.
In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, Minister Itoo said, “The safety of our children is paramount. Schools are institutions of trust, and anyone who violates that trust will face the strongest action permissible under law.”
“As committed by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, the Government has taken decisive action in the horrific Kishtwar case involving a minor girl,” she said.
She said the dismissal of the accused from government service under Article 311(2)(b), in connection with a case registered under the POCSO Act, reflects the government’s commitment to the safety, dignity and future of every child.
“Every child deserves a safe school and a secure environment to learn and grow,” Itoo said, adding, “No compromise. No exceptions.” (JKNS)
