DYSSO Baramulla Felicitates Emerging Cricketer Adhfar Wali at Boys Higher Secondary School Bomai

Baramulla: The District Youth Services & Sports Office (DYSSO), Baramulla, organised a felicitation programme at Boys Higher Secondary School Bomai in honour of Adhfar Wali, a promising young cricketer from North Kashmir, in recognition of her outstanding performance while representing the District Baramulla Cricket Team at Pulwama.

The programme was organised under the guidance of Commissioner Secretary, Youth Services & Sports, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, IAS; Director General, Youth Services & Sports, Anuradha Ma’am; Joint Director, Youth Services & Sports, Rashid Hussain; and DYSSO Baramulla, Mushtaq Ahmad Pampori.

The felicitation programme was conducted under the supervision of Manzoor Ahmad Baba, NIS Cricket and PET, Higher Secondary School Wagoora, who is also the President of the Physical Education Teachers Forum and Vice President of EJAC Baramulla, along with other members and officials present on the occasion.

Adhfar Wali was felicitated for her remarkable performance at the Pulwama Ground, where she represented the District Baramulla Cricket Team and scored an impressive 103 runs off just 36 balls, bringing laurels to District Baramulla and making Zone Dangerpora and Boys Higher Secondary School Bomai proud.

The felicitation ceremony was attended by Principal, Boys Higher Secondary School Bomai, A.B. Qayoom; Zonal Youth Services & Sports Officer, Shabir Ali; staff members; and a large number of students.

Speaking on the occasion, Adhfar Wali shared her emotional journey and expressed her determination to fulfil her late father’s dream by one day representing India at the highest level.
She said that her father was a great fan of the Indian Cricket Team and that she dreams of fulfilling the aspiration he had for her.

“My father was a great fan of the Indian Cricket Team. My dream is to fulfil the dream he had for me. I want to play for Team India one day, help the country win the World Cup, and bring pride to Jammu and Kashmir as well as my school, Boys Higher Secondary School Bomai,” she said.

Speaking about the loss of her father, Adhfar said that although he is no longer with her, the support and encouragement of her teachers continue to inspire her to move forward.

“My father is no longer with me, but my teachers are always there to support and guide me.

Their encouragement gives me the strength and confidence to work harder and move forward towards my dream,” she said.

The programme concluded with officials, teachers, staff members and students extending their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Adhfar Wali for a bright and successful sporting career.

Adhfar Wali’s remarkable achievement has emerged as a proud moment for North Kashmir, District Baramulla, Zone Dangerpora and Boys Higher Secondary School Bomai.

The young cricketer continues to pursue her dream of one day wearing the Indian jersey, fulfilling her late father’s dream and bringing glory to Jammu and Kashmir and the nation.
