Pay keen attention towards the behavior & not put any psychological pressure on kids SSP Budgam to parents
Budgam, June 26: Police on Saturday observed the International Day against “Drug abuse and illicit Trafficking” at various police establishments by means of organizing awareness rallies/debates & seminars all across the district Budgam.
In a statement to news agency the police said that banners and Placards on drug abuse were displayed at prominent public places to aware the youth as well as society to stay away from drugs & about the ill effects of the drug abuse .
An awareness rally (following proper Covid Protocol) was organized from KhahiPora to Townhall Khansahib in which SDPO Khan saab Aftab Awan JKPS , Rayees Ahmad Dar Tehsildar Khansahib, Insp Mohammad Rafi SHO Police Station Khansahib, Ms Insha Hassan Incharge Drug de-addiction and Stress Management Centre Budgam and other officers were present, they said.
The spokesman further stated that subsequently a seminar was organized at Town hall Khansahib wherein students, youth and respectables of adjoining areas were sensitized about the ill effects of drug abuse.
At Charar sharief, a rally (following proper Covid Protocol) was organized from Ziyarat Chaar e sharief to Bus stand in which SDPO Chaar e sharief Salim Jehangir JKPS , Nisar Ahmad Awan Tehsildar Charar Sharief, Inspector Mohammad Yasir SHO Police Station Charar sharief and other officers were present during the rally. Members of civil society and local NGO (Team Abroo) also participated in the rally, they said.
A seminar was also conducted at town hall Charar Sharief to sensitize the participants about the menace of drug abuse, they said.
In Magam, a rally (following proper Covid Protocol) was organized from Police Station Magam to Govt. Higher Secondary School Magam and then to Argrikalan. Mohammad Saleem-JKPS SDPO Magam, Insp Athar Samad SHO Police Station Magam and other officers were present during the rally. Members of civil society, students, youth and respectables of the area also participated in the rally.
In Beerwah, a rally (following proper Covid Protocol) was organized from Tehsil office Beerwah to Municipal office Beerwah. Insp. Firdous Ahmad SHO Police Station Beerwah and other officers were present during the rally. Members of civil society, students, youth and respectables of the area also participated in the rally, they said.
Similarly, in town Budgam a rally (following proper Covid Protocol) was organized from Police Station Budgam to Old Bus Stand Budgam, in which Fayaz Geelani-JKPS Dy. SP Hqrs Budgam, Inspr Mehboob Hussain SHO Police Station Budgam and respectables of the area participated, he added.
On the occasion, Sr. Superintendent of Police Budgam “Tahir Saleem-JKPS” in his message advised the parents to pay keen attention towards the behavior & not put any psychological pressure upon them which could attract them towards drug menace, reads the statement.
