New Delhi, Sept 2 (JKNS): The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, has posted 1996-batch IPS officer Danesh Rana to the Jammu & Kashmir segment of the Joint AGMUT Cadre following his repatriation from Central Deputation.

According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on September 1, 2026, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS stated that, Danesh Rana, IPS (AGMUT: 1996), has been posted to the Jammu & Kashmir segment of the Joint AGMUT Cadre with immediate effect and until further orders.

The order, issued with the approval of the Competent Authority, was signed by Rakesh Kumar Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Rana had been serving on Central Deputation and has now been repatriated to the cadre, following which he has been assigned to the J&K segment of the Joint AGMUT Cadre.

The posting order has been issued under No. 14046/59/2023-UTS.I dated September 1, 2026. (JKNS)
