Baramulla, Aug 28 (JKNS): In a heartwarming celebration of tradition, trust and community bonding, the Indian Army celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with the daughters of Uri on August 28, strengthening the enduring relationship between the armed forces and the local population.
The programme was organised under the aegis of Operation Sadbhavna by the Kalapahar Brigade, bringing together local girls and women with Army personnel in an atmosphere of warmth, affection and mutual respect.
Raksha Bandhan, which symbolises the sacred bond of protection between brothers and sisters, provided a meaningful platform for the local daughters of Uri to express their affection and gratitude towards the soldiers deployed in the area. During the event, the girls tied colourful Rakhis on the wrists of Army personnel, symbolising trust, respect and a shared sense of responsibility towards the community and the nation.
The soldiers reciprocated the gesture with warmth and assured the participating girls and women of their continued commitment towards their safety, security and well-being.
