Srinagar, Aug 8 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Police Counter-Intelligence (CIK) wing on Saturday conducted searches at multiple locations across five Kashmir districts as part of an investigation into suspected terror-related activities, online misuse and alleged radicalisation networks, officials said.
Officials sources told news agency JKNS that, searches were carried out in Kupwara, Baramulla, Anantnag, Shopian and Bandipora in connection with FIR No. 03/2023 registered at Police Station CIK, Srinagar.
The case has been registered under Sections 505 and 153-A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Sections 13 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
During the searches, police recovered and seized electronic devices and other material suspected to be relevant to the investigation.
Officials said the seized electronic devices and other material will be sent for forensic examination, which is expected to assist investigators in establishing the nature of the alleged activities and identifying further links, if any.
Further investigation in the case is underway. (JKNS)
