Anantnag, July 23 (JKNS): A day after the martyrdom of a police personnel in the terror attack at Lal Chowk, Anantnag, authorities on Thursday demolished the houses of two alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said on Thursday.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the demolished houses belonged to Aadil Thokar, a resident of Guree, Bijbehara, and Haroon Ganai, a resident of Hassanpora.
They said the action forms part of the ongoing crackdown against terrorists and their support infrastructure following Wednesday’s terror attack in which Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi was martyred while on duty.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Police have launched large-scale operations across the Kashmir Valley to dismantle the terror ecosystem, during which more than 2,500 suspected Over Ground Workers (OGWs) have been detained as part of the ongoing anti-terror crackdown. (JKNS)
