Rajouri, July 23 (JKNS): Demonstrating unwavering commitment and the spirit of Service Before Self, the Indian Army’s Road Opening Party (ROP), Quick Reaction Team (QRT), in coordination with a detachment of 110 RCC (BRO), launched a prompt Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operation following a severe landslide near Budhi Mod in Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir.
The teams swiftly mobilised to the affected location and undertook the challenging task of clearing the massive debris that had blocked the Rajouri – Budhal road. Despite adverse weather conditions and difficult terrain, coordinated efforts and timely intervention enabled the road to be reopened at the earliest, restoring vital connectivity and ensuring the uninterrupted movement of traffic.
The operation highlighted the Indian Army’s unwavering dedication to safeguarding lives, maintaining essential lines of communication and providing timely assistance to the local population during emergencies. The prompt restoration of the road facilitated the smooth movement of civilians, emergency vehicles and essential services.
The successful operation once again reaffirmed the Indian Army’s steadfast commitment to the welfare, safety and well-being of the local Awam during times of need. (JKNS)
