Srinagar, July 15 (JKNS): A Sessions Court in Srinagar has stayed the operation of the suo motu order passed by the Court of City Judge/Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMIC) against the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Srinagar, observing that the revision petition raises arguable questions requiring consideration.
According to the court order, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, the Court of the Second Additional Sessions Judge, Srinagar, held that the submissions made in the revision petition require examination after the trial court record is made available.
“At this interlocutory stage, and without expressing any opinion on the controversy, the Court is satisfied that the revision raises arguable questions warranting consideration,” the order reads.
The court directed that the trial court records be produced in scanned form and, meanwhile, stayed the operation and implementation of the suo motu order dated July 6, 2026, passed by the City Judge/JMIC, Srinagar.
The matter has now been listed for further consideration on July 27, 2026. (JKNS)
